Our range of high quality and great value Insulin Needles and Syringes are a simple and safe solution to administering insulin as well as extremely fine making them easy and comfortable to use. Perfect for clinical and professional use as well as personal, self administration of insulin, these syringes and needles offer more accurate dosing than would be possible with larger syringes due to the smaller volume syringe. We have a range of insulin needles in 27G, 29G and 30G from BBraun, BD & Unisharp.
0.5ml syringes are typically suited for doses of between 30 and 50 units while 1ml syringes are recommended for larger doses above 50 units. Insulin needles have a specially designed length for subcutaneous administration. The 8mm to 12.7mm needles should normally be administered using a lifted skin fold which will prevent injecting into the muscle by accident.
